Obituary For Bishop Cantrell Q. Durr

Bishop Cantrell Quinteze Durr, 31, of Silver Creek, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Rankin County, Mississippi.

He is the son of Mr. David and Mrs. Earnestine Showers Durr. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Silver Creek, Mississippi.

Bishop Durr was the Pastor of Triumph Ministries, Prentiss, Mississippi and Christian Chapel Church, Port Gibson, Mississippi. He was a Bishop with Holy Communion of Charismatic Churches, Saginaw, Michigan.

He was a crew member at Wayne-Sanderson Farms, Collins, Mississippi. He loved being a musician, traveling, serving the community and elderly and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 1pm. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by: sons: Cadyn Durr and Cameron Durr both of Silver Creek, MS; Trenton Bryant of Monticello, MS; Gabriel Johnson of Shereveport, LA; daughters, Cailyn Durr of Silver Creek, MS; Aubree Davis of Oma, MS; god daughter, Samayia Davis of Oma, MS; parents, David and Earnestine Durr of Silver Creek, MS; former wife, Cheltzie Brown of Silver Creek, MS; brothers, Christopher Cagins of Columbia, MS; Mondre’ Showers and Davion Durr both of Silver Creek, MS; Ontario Showers of Tylertown, MS; sisters, Shuntayia Davis of Jackson, MS; Jamelia Durr of Hattiesburg, MS; Deondre Edwards of Columbia, MS; Devonda Applewhite Foster of Byram, MS; Chellette Oatis of Oklahoma; Trashunta Durr of Silver Creek, MS;

Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-5pm.

Memorial Gospel Musical will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 6-9pm.
