I met Ma Hazel Brown in Hawaii and quickly became known to her as “Pastor”. There are not enough words nor space and time to share all we went through together. She loved and cared for my family as we were her blood born relatives. We loved Ma Brown as a mother and ensured that her cottage lifestyle…as she called it brought her much joy. Over these 20 plus years that we shared, I can truly say that her desire was to serve God through helping others, tell the truth, and pray like there was no tomorrow. These memories have soften the blow of death and the wind of change will rock us sturdy. Well done thou Good and Faithful Servant…It is REST Time!!!

I met Hazel in 1988 when I was a new 1st grade teacher at T M Pierce elementary school. She was my assistant. I learned so much from her. We also had many fun times and shared so many happy ( as well as some sad) times Unfortunately we lost contact even though I did think fondly of her often I hope this special, beautiful, wise, good person is looking down and smiling at us from heaven
